Resident Hotels converts Sleeperz to Four Points Flex on time

Resident Hotels Ltd (RHL), the hotel development and operating company, is due to fully rebrand the four Sleeperz Hotels to the Four Points Flex by Sheraton brand on time and in line with budget forecasts.
These properties have been operated and managed by RHL since November 2022, following the purchase of a majority stake in Sleeperz Hotels by Mactaggart Family & Partners.
Sleeperz Hotels Group signed a franchise agreement with Marriott International to convert the hotels in October last year.
The portfolio covers 429 rooms in four cities: Cardiff, Dundee, Edinburgh and Newcastle upon Tyne. These city-centre midscale hotels are located close to mainline rail stations and all amenities, perfect for business or leisure guests.
The team at RHL will continue to manage, operate and develop the hotels, with existing reservations transferred to the Four Points Flex by Sheraton system.
All four hotels to be available on the Marriott platform by the end of April 2025, with renovations of all 429 rooms and public spaces funded by the Sleeperz Hotel’s principal investors.
The investment and transformation began in March with Dundee being the first to complete, closely followed by Newcastle and Cardiff, with Edinburgh on track to open as Four Points Flex in the coming month.
Ameesh Shah, CFO, RHL said: “I am proud of our teams’ achievement in converting these hotels ready to welcome guests, on schedule and in line with forecasts, and we are already seeing strong uptake.
“Our relationship with Marriott has started strongly and we have established an operating platform from which we can rapidly grow this conversion-friendly brand around the UK. We are currently in discussions over further properties in key locations, which we look forward to announcing in due course.”
